They don't last

We bought a Torker electric bicycle from friends who own a bike store. We live in the rainy Northwest, so I used the bike infrequently. after about a year and a half of light use, the battery simply stopped charging. I had less than 20 hours use in total. Our friends tried to get Torker to replace it, but they declined, citing the limited warranty. This product doesn't last and Torker won't stand by it. It reminds me of the Chevrolet Vega my Dad bought in the early '70s. Caveat Emptor. And we know how well that worked for GM.
