E-Moto Ridge 4.5

I bought two of these for $549.00 each plus there was a $50.00 rebate on each .Bottom line $998.00 for the two. (Menards) Great Price .Very easy to complete the assembly .Fun to ride ,how ever this is a heavy bike you will not be transporting these on the roof of your car ,you will need a trailer hitch carrier if you are going to travel with them .

Overall I am generally happy with the bike. For the price, I probably got what I paid for.I am now averaging about 13 miles with a fully charged battery. This is with pedaling 90% of the time. FEW hills, and all small ones at that. 100% of the ride I do is a paved bike path. I am a little on the heavy side, so I can attribute some lost mileage to that (22 is its rating) but it seems like I should get a few more.Beware that the battery meter says full charge for 11 miles, goes to half and then is completely dead by 13.x, so if the green light goes out, your almost done!Bike is very heavy to ride when the battery is dead.New out of box, I had a bad fuse on the battery, E-Moto service responded quickly to assist, but it took several emails for them to tell me the actual location of the fuse, almost as if the tech did not know at first. I asked several other questions that weren't answered in the emails.Once I had the fuse corrected I emailed my service tech back, as well as sales department to find out where I could buy additional batteries and chargers from, they have never responded.Bottom line is that for $500 at Menards, it is probably priced correctly. If you want it for 10 mile commutes, this bike will do great. If you think of it as disposable, and unrepairable, and thats ok with you, then this is a good bike. Replacement parts will be impossible to come by it seems.Overall quality of the bike itself is good, although I wish the battery was better.

Have only used the bike a few times and it seems to perform well. I purchased a display model and the battery was a 1/2 volt under specs when charged. E-Moto sent me an exchange battery no questions asked at their expense. Great customer service!
